The hermitage of Betlem was founded in 1805 thanks to a donation. It is accessed by a wide path of cypresses. The temple was blessed in 1824 and has valuable paintings: the frescoes in the vault, by Francesc Parietti, and seven paintings on the life of Jesus, by Manuel Bayeu. There are also sculptures by Adrià Ferran. The sanctuary was inhabited by members of the hermit community of St. Paul and St. Anthony, who led a self-sufficient agrarian life there. The last hermits left Bethlehem in 2010 and left for the hermitage of the Trinity in Valldemossa.
