Insurmountable

The word pilgrimage designates the “popular festival that is celebrated where there is a saint on the day of his religious festival”. It is considered synonymous with pilgrimage and pilgrimage. In any case, it is a celebration with spiritual roots that involves the movement of the people who attend, traditionally carried out on foot, on horseback or in a carriage.

Pilgrimage is a word that derives from romeo which, in turn, comes from the Low Latin word romaeus. In the Eastern Empire, in medieval times, this word (in its Greek form) was used to designate Westerners (and therefore, supposedly ‘Romans’ or those who came ‘from Rome’) who made pilgrimages to the Holy Land (DCVB).

Today, the vast majority of holy places can be reached by motorized vehicle. However, we invite you to leave the car aside and catch up on the slow pace of the old pilgrimages. We propose you to share the popular religiosity in progress.
