This pilgrimage is organized jointly by the Amics dels Cavalls and the City Council of Binissalem.

The pilgrims travel from Binissalem to Sencelles on foot, in carriages and on horseback (6km). They leave at 9:00 a.m. from Guillem Martí street, in Binissalem, take the road to Biniagual, pass by the Pou Major, where they have a snack, to finally arrive, before noon, in Sencelles.

The pilgrims, upon arriving in Sencelles, pay a visit to the convent of the Sisters of Charity, founded by Blessed Sister Francinaina Cirer, and where her tomb is located; Then, a mass is held in the parish church and, to finish, a brotherhood lunch.

The convent of the Sisters of Charity, in Sencelles, was founded by Sister Francinaina Cirer Carbonell (1781-1855), on the same site as her birthplace. The one who is also known as “Blessed Francinaina of Our Lady of Sorrows” or “sa tia Xiroia” was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1989. The original house is from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the courtyard, kitchen, dining room and bedroom are preserved. All in all, it becomes a museum about the life of the Mallorcans of the time. At the same time, one can admire numerous votive offerings and personal objects of the Blessed, such as furniture and materials related to the beatification process.

The saying is known in the town

“Not all the gold of Ca’n Raió can do what I can with the Lord”,

attributed to the Blessed on the occasion of the writing of her second will.

In this document, dated December 23, 1850, he left all his possessions (the house where he was born and an ounce of gold) to found the house of the nuns of Charity.
